Every decision you make shapes a 9-step branching story generated in real time by AI. No two playthroughs are the same. Each turn comes with a unique 16-bit pixel art illustration rendered on the fly, giving every scene its own visual moment.
There are no accounts to create. No downloads. Just pick a theme and go.
The Worlds
StoryDome launches with 8 playable themes, each with its own tone, setting, and cast of characters:
- Bigfoot — Deep woods. Strange tracks. Something watching from the tree line.
- UFO — Lights in the sky and a night you won’t forget.
- Fairies — An enchanted realm that isn’t as gentle as it looks.
- Ghosts — Hauntings, old buildings, and things that don’t stay buried.
- Sea Monster — Open water, ancient creatures, and nowhere to run.
- Museum After Dark — Exhibits that come alive when the lights go out.
- Time Traveler — Lost in time, jumping between historical eras, trying to find your way home. Meet Leonardo da Vinci, Nikola Tesla, Amelia Earhart, and more across 16 possible time periods.
- Pirates — High seas, buried treasure, and double-crosses.
There’s also a special Land of the Lost theme with deep lore, unique creatures, and a world pulled from rich source material.
The Story Engine
Under the hood, every story follows one of 7 classic narrative archetypes — Overcoming the Monster, Quest, Voyage & Return, Escape, Rescue, Mystery, or Rebirth. The AI uses these story structures to give each playthrough a real dramatic arc with rising tension, turning points, and a satisfying conclusion.
Two invisible meters — Hope and Doom — track the consequences of your choices. Play it safe and your fortune rises. Take reckless risks and doom creeps in. Hit zero hope and the story ends early. Not well.
